Terms of service
Agreement
These terms are the agreement between you and Sorelia LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“Sorelia,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using Sorelia you accept them, together with our privacy policy. If you do not accept them, do not use Sorelia.
You must be at least 16 to use Sorelia, or older if the law where you live requires it.
What Sorelia is
Sorelia is a personal assistant. It keeps your reminders, the details and documents you ask it to remember, and your calendar, and it answers questions about them in conversation. When you ask it to, it can create, change and delete reminders, saved items and calendar events on your behalf, including in calendars you connect.
Your account
Keep your account details accurate and your sign-in details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@sorelia.ai if you think someone else has access to it.
Your content
Everything you put into Sorelia stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store your content, process it, and send what is needed to answer you to the AI provider named in the privacy policy. We claim no ownership of your content and we do not use it to train AI models.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve Sorelia without owing you anything for them.
Subscription
Sorelia is a paid subscription. We may offer new subscribers a free trial; when one is available it is shown in the app before you subscribe. Without an active subscription or trial you cannot use the service, but your account and everything in it stay where they are.
Through the App Store
You subscribe in the app and Apple handles the purchase. The price, the billing period and the length of any free trial are shown in the app before you subscribe, and the charge goes to your Apple Account.
- A free trial, where one is offered, becomes a paid subscription on its own when it ends, unless you cancel before then. A free trial is offered once; Apple decides whether you are eligible.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price shown, until you cancel. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Cancel at any time in your Apple Account’s subscription settings; the Subscription screen in Sorelia takes you there. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its terms. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- If we change a price, you are told before it applies, and it never applies to a period you have already paid for.
On our website
If you subscribed on our website instead, the price shown at checkout renews automatically each period until you cancel. Your card is handled by our payment processor and is never stored by us. Cancel from your account on the website or by emailing support@sorelia.ai; you keep access until the end of the period. We do not refund a period that has already started, except where the law gives you a right to one (including the 14-day right of withdrawal in the UK and EU), or where something went wrong on our side: a double charge, a charge after you cancelled, or a service that was not working. Email us and we will put it right.
If a payment fails, we tell you and give you time to fix it before access stops.
Acceptable use
Do not use Sorelia to:
- break the law, or help anyone else do so;
- store or share material you have no right to;
- access another person’s account or data;
- probe, overload or interfere with the service;
- resell it, or use its outputs to build a competing product.
What Sorelia gets wrong
Sorelia uses an AI language model, and language models make mistakes. It can misread a date, put something at the wrong time, misremember a detail, or state something confidently that is not true. Check anything that matters before you rely on it.
Sorelia does not give medical, legal, financial or tax advice, and it must not be relied on where a mistake would be dangerous: medication, emergencies, or anything with safety-critical timing.
Reminders and notifications depend on your device and its settings, your network, and services outside our control. They can be late or fail to arrive. Do not make Sorelia the only thing standing between you and a consequence you cannot accept.
Connected calendars
When you connect a Google or Microsoft calendar, that account stays governed by its provider’s own terms. You can disconnect at any time in Sorelia’s settings, which removes our access and the events we synced. Changes Sorelia already made in that calendar stay there.
Changes to the service
We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of Sorelia. We will give reasonable notice of a change that materially reduces what it does, unless the change is needed for security or to comply with the law.
Warranty and liability
Sorelia is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit or data, or for anything arising from a missed reminder, an incorrect answer, or an action Sorelia took at your request, and our total liability to you for anything else is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under consumer rights you have where you live.
If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used Sorelia, content you put into it, or your breach of these terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and damages that result, unless we caused the claim.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion is permanent: your content is erased as described in the privacy policy.
Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Only you can do that, in your Apple Account’s subscription settings, so cancel it first or Apple will keep charging you. A subscription taken out on our website is cancelled when the account is deleted. If you want to stop paying but keep your data, cancel instead of deleting.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where the law requires us to.
Apple
Because Sorelia is distributed through the App Store, this also applies:
- These terms are between you and Sorelia, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.
- If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple may refund what you paid for it. Beyond that refund Apple has no warranty obligation for the app; any other claim, loss or cost from a failure to conform is our responsibility.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for any claim relating to the app, including product liability, a claim that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, a consumer protection claim, or a claim that it infringes someone else’s intellectual property.
- Your licence to the app is limited, non-transferable, and for Apple devices you own or control, under the App Store’s usage rules.
- You confirm that you are not in a country under a US government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Sorelia after that means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved between us goes to the state or federal courts in Hillsborough County, Florida, and both of us agree to those courts hearing it. If consumer law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally, or protections that cannot be signed away, this paragraph does not take those away from you.
The rest
- These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about Sorelia.
- If any part of them is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
- You may not transfer your rights under these terms to someone else. We may transfer ours if Sorelia is sold or reorganised, and your rights are unaffected by that.
