Terms of service
Agreement
These terms are the agreement between you and Sorelia LLC, a Florida limited liability company at 2512 Oyster Catcher Court, 201, Tampa, FL 33619, United States (“Sorelia,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Sorelia.
Who can use Sorelia
You must be at least 16, or the minimum age for consent to data processing where you live if that is higher. You must give accurate account information and keep it up to date.
What Sorelia does
Sorelia is a personal assistant. It keeps reminders and notes, shows your calendar, and answers questions about them in conversation. It can create, change and delete reminders, saved items and calendar events on your behalf when you ask it to, including on calendars you connect.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in details private. Tell us at support@sorelia.ai if you believe someone else has access to it.
Your content
What you put into Sorelia stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to operate the service for you: to store your content, process it, and send the parts required to answer you to the AI provider described in the privacy policy. We claim no ownership of it and we do not use it to train models.
What it costs
Sorelia is a paid subscription. There is no free tier: without an active subscription or trial you cannot use the service, though your account and everything in it stay where they are. The plans are:
- Annual: $79.99 a year, after a 14-day free trial.
- Monthly: $12.99 a month, after a 7-day free trial.
Prices are in US dollars. Payment is taken by our payment processor, Stripe; your card details go to Stripe and are never stored by us. Where we are required to collect sales tax or VAT it is included in the price shown, unless the app tells you otherwise before you pay.
Free trial
A new subscription starts with a free trial of the length shown on the plan you pick. We ask for a card when the trial starts, and we do not charge it during the trial.
The trial turns into a paid subscription on its own when it ends. On that date we charge your card for the first period at the price you signed up at, unless you cancelled first. We show you that date when you subscribe, and it is in Settings for as long as the trial runs. Cancel before it and you are not charged anything.
A free trial is offered once per account. We may decline to offer one to an account that has had a trial before.
Automatic renewal
Your subscription renews automatically. At the end of each period we charge your card for the next one at the same price, and that repeats until you cancel. You do not have to do anything to carry on, and we do not ask again before each renewal. Your renewal date is in Settings at any time.
We may change our prices. If we do, we will tell you at least 30 days beforehand, and the new price applies from your next renewal after that notice. It never applies to a period you have already paid for. If you do not want it, cancel before that renewal.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time in Settings, or by emailing support@sorelia.ai. Cancelling takes no more effort than subscribing did, and you do not have to speak to anyone to do it.
Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not cut you off straight away: you keep everything you have paid for until the end of the period you are in, and the subscription ends on that date. Cancel during a free trial and you keep access until the trial would have ended, without being charged.
Cancelling does not delete your account or anything in it. Your reminders, saved items, conversations, calendar connections and settings all stay as they are. Once the subscription ends you cannot use the service, but you can still sign in, and everything is waiting if you subscribe again later. Deleting your account is a separate thing, and it is described under Ending it below.
If a payment fails
If a renewal charge does not go through, Stripe tries again over the following days and we tell you in the app. You keep access while that is happening. If none of the attempts works, the subscription ends and access stops until you update your card or subscribe again.
Refunds
We do not refund a period that has already started, and we do not refund the unused part of a period after you cancel. The free trial is there so that you can decide before paying anything.
Two things sit outside that. Where the law where you live gives you a right to cancel or to a refund, you keep it in full and this paragraph does not touch it. That includes, for customers in the United Kingdom and the European Union, the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. And if something went wrong, if you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or the service was not working, email support@sorelia.ai and we will put it right.
Feedback
If you send us feedback, a feature request or a bug report, we may use it to improve Sorelia without owing you anything for it. You do not give up ownership of anything else by sending it.
Acceptable use
Do not use Sorelia to:
- Break the law, or help anyone else do so.
- Store or distribute material you have no right to.
- Attempt to access another person’s account or data.
- Probe, overload or interfere with the service or the systems it runs on.
- Resell the service, or use it to build a competing product from its outputs.
What Sorelia gets wrong
Sorelia uses a language model, and language models make mistakes. It can misread a date, schedule something at the wrong time, misremember a detail, or state something confidently that is not true. Check anything that matters before you rely on it.
Sorelia is not a source of professional advice. Nothing it says is medical, legal, financial or tax advice, and it must not be used where a mistake would be dangerous, including anything to do with medication, emergencies, or safety-critical timing.
Reminders and notifications depend on your device, your browser, your network, and services outside our control. They can be late or fail to arrive. Do not use Sorelia as the only thing standing between you and a consequence you cannot accept.
Connected accounts
When you connect a Google or Microsoft calendar, your use of that account stays governed by its own provider’s terms. You can disconnect at any time in Settings, which removes our access and the events we synced. Changes Sorelia already made in that calendar remain there.
Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of Sorelia. We will give reasonable notice of a change that materially reduces what the service does, unless it is needed for security or to comply with the law. The service is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit or data, or for anything arising from a missed reminder, an incorrect answer, or an action Sorelia took at your request. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under consumer rights you have where you live.
Your responsibility to us
If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used Sorelia, because of content you put into it, or because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and damages that result. This does not apply where the claim was caused by us.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we are required to. When an account is deleted, its content is erased as described in the privacy policy.
Deleting your account also cancels your subscription, so nothing is charged again. It is not a refund of the period you are in, and it cannot be undone: unlike cancelling, this erases your content. If what you want is to stop paying and keep your data, cancel instead.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Sorelia after that means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved between us goes to the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, and both of us agree to those courts hearing it. If you live somewhere whose consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim locally, or protections that cannot be signed away, this paragraph does not take those away from you.
The rest
- These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about Sorelia.
- If any part of them is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
- You may not transfer your rights under these terms to someone else. We may transfer ours if Sorelia is sold or reorganised, and your rights are unaffected by that.
- Notices to you are sent to the email address on your account or shown in the app. Notices to us go to the address below.
